Is RetroApp free?+
The local library is free. Downloading the installer does not require an account or a credit card. Optional plans are available for connected services; see the pricing page for details.
What is the difference between RetroApp and SPYRO?+
RetroApp is the website and launcher presented here. SPYRO is the name of the Windows release, so it appears in the filename and during installation.
Are games included?+
No. RetroApp is a launcher for your own collection. The cover art illustrates a library; it does not represent games bundled with the app.
Can I install it on macOS or Linux?+
The current download is for 64-bit Windows 10 and 11. macOS and Linux releases are not available yet. You can try selected consoles on the browser play page.
Can I play online with friends?+
Netplay is experimental in this beta and has not yet been validated between two PCs over the Internet. Check the beta page and changelog before using it.
